AZZA Taurus 5000 Case Review

AZZA Taurus 5000 Overview
The AZZA Taurus 5000, like many of AZZA’s cases is a full tower case. It has official dimensions of 21″x8.3″x20.6″ (533mmx210mmx523mm), being made of mostly SECC steel it weighs in at 22.5 lbs without hardware installed. As I mentioned it comes in both a black and white version, we received the white version of the case. The overall design of the case is pretty sleek and stylish. It stands out a bit, but is not over the top.

Starting at the front of the case there is actually a door which reveals three 5.25-inch drive bays. Doors and 5.25-inch drive bays have not been used all that much in many of the newer cases that we’ve reviewed. Moving down the front of the case there is a large ventilated section. Behind it you will find two 120 mm intakes fans. These fans have white LEDs installed.

At the top of the case towards the front you will find all of your controls, connections, and more. On the left side you have power and reset buttons as well as a button to turn the LEDs on the case on and off. There are activity LEDs on for power and hard drive activity on the left side too. Moving over to the right side you have two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and headphone and microphone connections. The rest of the top of the case is ventilated. There are two pre-installed 120 mm fans up here as well.

The side panel of the case features a nice large side panel window. The best way to describe the side panel window is sort of a diamond shape. AZZA has installed RGB LEDs on the inside of the side panel. You’ll see that a little later in the review.

Moving around to the back of the case we can see another included fan, which is a 120 mm exhaust fan. That makes a total of 5 included fans with this case. Above the fan are four pop-out watercooling holes if you happen to need to use them. Since this is a full-tower case there are a total of 8 expansion slots. Of course the power supply mounting is at the bottom of the case and you can see both side panels have thumbscrews installed. This makes getting into your system very easy. A small filter comes out from the bottom of the case, this is for your power supply.

Looking at the bottom of the case we can see there are four feet that will keep your case off the ground. This makes for better airflow under the case. You can see the filter for the power supply, but there is also one in the center of the case that can be pulled out from the side of the case.
