AVADirect Affinity HTPC System Overview
Our Affinity system is build inside the SilverStone Grandia Series SST-GD09 which is a great HTPC case. It offers quite a lot of room and is specifically made for HTPC purposes so it will actually look like it belongs in your home theater.
At the front of the system you have a nice brushed aluminum panel. AVADirect has added a small “AVA” logo on the front of the case. At the front you also have your ASUS BW-16D1HT drive, which is great to have since this is a HTPC. Two USB 3.0 ports at the front are great to easily plug in a mobile device or flash drive to play media or show photos.
If we move around to the back you can see we do not have thumbscrews on the top panel. While we would complain about this on a normal case, this is a HTPC case and you are not going to be opening it up all that much.
As we open the top panel we can take a look inside and see all of our components. Everything is installed correctly and placed for proper airflow. The cable routing is superb as well. We can also see that all of our components match what was on the parts list provided by AVADirect.
