In our previous post we talked about NVIDIA working with TSMC on the 16 nm FinFET process. We wondered why AMD is was not the released list of companies who are working with TSMC. Well it looks like AMD will manufacture their GPUs at Global Foundries.
Xigmatek has just announced their latest entry-level CPU cooler in the TYR-SD962. This is your typical tower-type heatsink, but the base of this cooler actually has a small heatsink on it as well to help out with cooling. The cooler features two 6 mm-thick copper heatpipes that will direct contact with your CPU.
It looks like TSMC is ready to move to volume production on their 16 nm FinFET process. Based on a recent report we know that NVIDIA is joining them. Does that mean that NVIDIA is skipping the 20 nm fab process completely?
Raijintek has just announced the Morpheus Core Edition, a matte-black variant of its very popular universal VGA cooler. The large cooler features an aluminum fin stack of 129 fins, six 6 mm thick nickel-plated copper heatpipes and a nickel-plated copper base. The cooler itself has a dark / gunmetal finish which looks great.

NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 980 is finally joining the Republic of Gamers brand as ASUS has just introduced the GeForce GTX 980 ROG Matrix Platinum. This is a fully custom GeForce GTX 980 with 4 GB of VRAM on board and it does not look like NVIDIA is planning any 8 GB models anytime soon.
