    It won't considering the HD5970 is two HD5870 GPUs on one PCB…

    but, two on one also is more heat, so less oc-ing is possible, plus means shorter lifespan

    Which is why the HD5970 use a vapour chamber designed HSF. Go read some reviews of the HD5970 as I am guessing you have not.
