ASUS P8Z77-V Pro Intel Z77 Motherboard Review

Testing – Video
To test video performance we use a combination of well-known video testing suites, the first of which being 3DMark11. We ran this on the “Performance” setting, which utilizes a 720p specification.

Afterwards, a run of 3DMark Vantage. Again we ran it on the “Performance (720p)” setting.

Completing the benchmark suites themselves, we moved on to some demos with built in benchmarking tools – first on the list is Unigine’s Heaven DX11 Demo/Benchmark. Settings used were as follows; Resolution: 1920×1080, Tessellation: Disabled, Shaders: High, Anisotropy: 4x, Anti-Aliasing: Off.

Stone Giant is another DX11 demo, but it differs from Heaven in the fact that it uses complex geometry to render some aspects of the demo, and therefore utilizes your hardware in a different manner. The settings we used were: Resolution: 1024x768x32, Aspect: Auto, Tessellation: High.
