Overclocking
As always here is my favorite area to play with. There is multiple ways to do Overclocking with AMD processors and its either using AOD or the ASUS Turbo-V. For this portion I will be doing it the old fashion and more stable way of doing the overclocking in the BIOS. But first before we start off with this let me show you some of stock CPU-Z shots.
Now let’s restart and get into the BIOS. The first thing I did was change the CPU Overclocking to manual. After this is done you go to the DRAM frequency and then change that to the speed of your memory mine is 1600 MHz so I dropped down and put it to that.
Next I set the CPU multiplier to 19. With this as you can see at the top of this screen that this will put it at 3.8 GHz . Don’t forget to turn off turbo unless you want turbo on. I will be turning off turbo since I am using the stock cooler.
Now after all is said and done and booted into windows here is what you will have when you pop open CPU-Z.
