ASUS ENGTX260 Matrix GeForce GTX 260 896MB Video Card Review

Testing – Futuremark

I ran a series of benchmarks to check out the performance and stability of the ENGTX260 Matrix. With iTracker on “Gaming” mode, the GPU clocks up to 601mHz, so that is where the GTX 260 is while under load. I also ran them again with iTracker on User Defined Profile 1, which clocks the GPU up to my earlier overclock of 688mHz. For comparison, I also ran the benchmarks on a factory overclocked Radeon HD 4870. Though the HD 4870 is a strong card, I expected the GTX 260 to beat it in most if not all benchmarks. You really never know about the PCMark benchmarks though, since they don’t stress 3D graphics testing. They both seem to give ATI cards an advantage over geForce cards.

  1. Great review, the super hybrid engine is pretty good, saves you power when you're idling and overclocks itself when under stress

  3. The EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked is the most power-efficient card in its category; $40 less than its primary competition.

  5. Graphics cards comming out now cost more than my computer x2. I wonder when they are just going to make them have a CPU and RAM slot built in so you can upgrade to keep up with games. And if your video card fails, just reuse the CPU and RAM on your next card. Don't steal my idea nVidia!!
