ASUS Cine5 5-Channel Speaker Review

Final Thoughts
Let’s summarize what we’ve just learned about the ASUS Cine5.  This product is easy to use, easy to place, and has a nice sleek look to it.  The Cine5 is definitely a space saver, making it ideal for anyone who likes to make the most of whatever little space they have.  If you’re into movies and high quality surround-sound, this product is definitely for you.  Those of you who listen to drum and bass music, rap, etc. this may not be the best choice in speakers because too much bass means a lot of distortion.  Gamer, this speaker system is definitely worth your while despite the kill-streak-thump.

You can find the ASUS Cine5 online for $169, which might seem a little steep but for avid movie fans it’s worth the money.  Overall ThinkComputers gives the ASUS Cine5 5-channel Speaker a 7 out of 10 score.

  1. Well , the view of the passage is totally correct ,your details is really reasonable and you new balance 996 guy give us valuable informative post, I totally agree the standpoint of upstairs. I often surfing on this forum when I m free and I find there are so much good information we can learn in this forum!

  2. Well, the lack of support just about kills any chances of me buying this thing. That and the steep price, let's not forget about that.

  3. As I know the PS3 will down mix 5.1 to 2-ch (with surround information by analog 2-ch) as Lt/Rt , and Cine5 would revive 5 channel audio from downmixed 2- channel audio (check the office web link), let you still feel like 5.1 surround sound ! I try it on the computex . and It is good!

  4. I never understood the concept of 5 channel audio out of one speaker housing. IMHO that kind of eliminates the point of multiple channels beyond 2. Even 2 channels out of one housing is a bit sketchy. I think it's more of a ploy to get people to buy a 5 channel audio setup when you really don't have room for the “real” thing. Spend the money and go buy a Logitech 5.1 system. Now that's an example of multiple channels used properly.
