Installation
Installing the BW-12B1LT is just like any other optical drive. Just remove your desired panel on your case, slide in your drive, and attach it (via whatever method your case provides), in our case via thumbscrews, then attach the power/data cables. As you can see from the picture below, the drive does stick out from the case, so don’t try and make it line up perfectly with your case.
Software
The ASUS BW-12B1LT comes with several Cyberlink products. This includes: Cyberlink PowerDVD with Magic Cinema, Cyberlink Power2Go, Cyberlink InstantBurn, and Cyberlink PowerBackup. All of these and many other quick access features can be accessed through the Blu-ray Disc Suite. The Blu-ray Disc Suite allows you to easily do anything, whether it’s to burn a disc, watch a movie or to backup your PC, it can all be done within the suite in a single click.
Also included with the drive are two ASUS products, E-Green and E-Hammer. E-Green is a product which shows you energy saving information about your Blu-ray drive. E-Hammer allows you to completely remove data from a CD-R or DVD-R with a single click; no more scratching the disc to destroy the data.
