ASUS has just announced their new Xonar U7 USB Soundcard and Headphone Amplifier. It offers users powerful and clear 114dB SNR audio, with an included headphone amplifier, Dolby Home Theater v4 support, plus dedicated microphone and volume controls. It has the convenience of being able to be connected via USB so it requires no standalone power supply and works instantly setup-free with no need to open your system up.
The U7 will provide you with strong and immersive 7.1 channel performance. The audio is driven by the Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC (digital to analog converter). The headphone amplifier allows users to take advantage of premium headsets by offering better performance than on-board audio solutions. The U7 does have dedicated controls that allow you to easily adjust the volume and microphone level.
