ASRock X99 Extreme 11 Motherboard Unleashed

ASRock has finally unleashed their flagship X99 motherboard, the X99 Extreme 11. This motherboard has been designed from the ground up to suit the needs of hardcore enthusiasts, overclockers and storage junkies! It is giving you the best features available on the X99 chipset, plus a whole lot more!

ASRock X99 Extreme 11

The ASRock X99 Extreme 11 is a massive motherboard and is built on the E-ATX form factor as many of the high-end X99 motherboards are. This board features the same Super Alloy design as ASRock’s other X99 motherboards and has a black and blue color scheme. The board has two XXL aluminum alloy heatsinks that are connected by a single heatpipe and the PCH heatsink actually has an active cooling fan on it. The Super Alloy design includes premium memory alloy chokes, ultra Dual-N MOSFETs (UDM), Nichicon 12K Platinum capacitors, Sapphire black PCB, a Digi power 12 Phase CPU pulse width modulation unit along with several high-quality components to give you the most stable system for overclocking.

One big thing you notice on this board is the amount of SATA ports, there are actually 18 total ports! There are 10 SATA 6GB/s ports and an extra 8 SAS-3 12 Gb/s ports provided by the LSI SAS 3008 controller chip. If that is not enough storage for you there are two Ultra M.2 (PCIe Gen3 x4) slots on this board as well.

This motherboard has expansion covered as well, there are five PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and with the added dual PLX PEX 8747 bridge chips you can run 4-way SLI or CrossFireX setups at full bandwidth (x16/x16/x16/x16). You also have dual USB 3.0 headers. Along the bottom of the board there are power and reset buttons as well as a debug LED. The rear I/O panel on the board includes four USB 2.0 ports, four USB 3.0 ports, PS/2 port, clear CMOS button, two eSATA ports, dual Gigabit Intel Ethernet and audio ports.

This has to be one of the most insane X99 motherboards we have seen to date! No word yet on pricing, but expect this motherboard to carry quite a premium!
