ASRock 890FX Deluxe5 AMD Motherboard Review

Final Thoughts
After using the ASRock 890FX Deluxe5 I found it to be an alright motherboard. I found it to have more lockups than the MSI 890FXA-GD65 I previously reviewed. Additionally over several CPU coolers I found all but one to have a clearance issue with the secondary heatsink for the northbridge. The heatsink was not only too close to the motherboard, but often too high for CPU coolers as well.

Despite the negatives of this motherboard there are some positives. This includes the GUI BIOS, support for old, new, and yet to come technologies, included accessories, included utilities and quality materials.

This motherboard can be found at my favorite online retailer for $169.99, which makes it near the top of in terms of price for similar 890FX motherboards. While I can’t say that I love this motherboard I really can’t say that I hate it either. It does have its Pros and Cons, but overall it’s an “a-ok” motherboard.  Think Computers would like to award the ASRock 890FX Deluxe5 AMD Motherboard an 8 out of 10 score.
