Apple to Hold an iPad Unveiling Event on October 22

Rumors have it that Apple will announce next generation iPad and iPad Mini on the 22nd of this month. Though we didn’t hear any announcements for such an event officially from Apple itself, yet we have confirmations of this data from two sources. The highlight of the event is expected to be the latest iPads though other products are also in line for their launch on the same date.

iPad 5

So much already has been published regarding the newest iPad and we all have almost every tad of information regarding the Retina display gadget. The new iPad will feature same design as of iPad Mini retaining the same 9.7 inches Retina display. It will feature the updated SoC which has been named as the A7X. On the other hand, the iPad Mini will be powered by A7 processor but it’s not going to feature a Retina display for now which will surely disappoint many. Both devices have been powered over the new M7 co-processor and they are going to feature the much controversial Touch ID fingerprint scanner. Looks like Apple is playing quite the trick with new color ranges in its products as these iPads will be available silver, space gray and gold.

Though iPads will be the event’s highlight, other products will also be unveiled officially and one of them is the MacBook Pro. This one too features the infamous Retina display and all the models will have the fourth generation Intel Core processors, ‘Haswell’, along with updated NVIDIA 7-series mobile GPU. A little update on the Mac Pro which was introduced during the WWDC will also be given by Apple and though Apple hasn’t confirmed what it will be about, we are expecting to hear some news about the official launch dates and the pricing. Along with this, the OS X, 10.9 Mavericks’s newer version will also be released on this event and will be available on the Mac App Store from thereon.
