Antec Eleven Hundred Mid Tower Gaming Case Review

Installation
Installation for the Eleven Hundred is pretty quick and easy, especially considering all of the tool-free methods with this case. The typical installation starts off with your motherboard standoff installation and securing the motherboard to the standoffs.  The Eleven Hundred supports XL-ATX motherboards, so those with even small motherboards will have plenty of room to work with inside of the case.

Expansion card installation takes just a few seconds. Simply remove the thumbscrews holding the slotted bay covers, remove the bay covers, install your expansion card and secure with the thumbscrew(s) you removed before.

Installing one of the six possible 3.5” drives is a breeze as well. Simply pull out two of the rails (they’re all the same) and attach to the drive.

They should only install one way, but if you can’t figure it out just remember to keep the tabbed end of the rails away from the connection side of the drive. The drive will be going in, connector side first, so that you can route your cables on the back side of the motherboard tray.

The 2.5” SSD installation is pretty easy as well. While this isn’t a tool-free installation, it’s certainly much easier than other 2.5” installation’s I’ve seen. Just simply slide your drive in, connection end first and secure with a screw on the side. It looks like the drive should be pushed in more, but don’t try jamming it because it won’t go any further. Even though it sticks out away from the drive cage, it doesn’t interfere with the side panel.

Installing a 5.25” drive is almost as easy, but requires a few extra steps. Simply remove the front panel, remove the drive bay covers, and slide the drive in. It will lock into place in the exact position it needs to be in. No need to worry about lining up the drive.

Just taking a few seconds to route your cables leaves you with a clean case. Now, I didn’t spend much time with cable management, but rather routed them appropriately. I didn’t spend any more time than I normally would with a case, so you can see the results.

The top mounted blue LED fan gives off quite a glow as well as plenty of exhaust.
