AMD Working On Nine Ryzen ThreadRipper Models

AMD officially announced their Ryzen ThreadRipper HEDT processor at Computex and with that we’ve seen many X399 motherboards pop up that are ready for the massive processor. Well AMD is readying nine SKUs based on the “Summit Ridge” MCM. These will include 10-core (3+2+3+2), 12-core (3+3+3+3), 14-core (4+3+4+3), and 16-core (4+4+4+4) models. All of which will have SMT enabled so you’ll get 20, 24, 28, and 32 threads, respectively as well as full 64-lane PCI-Express gen 3.0 root-complexes, and full quad-channel DDR4 memory interfaces. Some models will also feature XFR giving you a 200 MHz boost clock if your cooling solution is sufficient.
