AMD Working On At Least Three Radeon RX Vega SKUs

As we reported the other day AMD RX Vega 3DMark results were leaked. The results barely beat NVIDIA’s GTX 1070, which at the time did not look good for AMD. Well it looks like AMD is working on at least three Radeon RX Vega SKUs. The leaked 3DMark validations point to a device ID that’s third in a series of possible device IDs based on the Vega 10 silicon. These are 687F:C1, 687F:C2, and 687F:C3. All three of these cards have 8 GB of HBM2 and according to the leaked scores the slowest SKU is faster than the GTX 1070 and t he fastest SKU is in the same league as the GTX 1080 Ti.

These three SKUs would more than likely have different core configurations and clock speeds. If you remember AMD carved four different SKUs out of its Fiji silicon. You had the R9 Fury X, R9 Fury, R9 Nano, and the Radeon Pro Duo. AMD will likely take the same approach with Vega. AMD is expected to launch Vega within Q2 of 2017.
