AMD Ryzen Powered QNAP NAS Shows Up At Computex

QNAP had something very interesting at their booth at Computex. There was a very large NAS which had the AMD Ryzen logo on it. The NAS in question is the upcoming TS-1277, which is a 12-bay NAS supporting eight 3.5-inch drives and four 2.5-inch drives.

Of course the interesting thing here is that this NAS will be powered by AMD’s Ryzen processors. You’ll have the choice of three different Ryzen processors, the 8-core / 16-thread Ryzen 7 1700, the 6-core / 12-thread Ryzen 5 1600, and the 4-core / 8-thread Ryzen 5 1400. The NAS unit also has support for up to 64GB of UDIMM memory, has two M.2 slots, 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports, three PCI-Express slots, and two USB 3.1 ports. This thing will definitely be able to handle storage and backups for you!
