AMD could be bringing the Radeon RX 470 out at a very good price-point for gamers at $149. This could be a very big shock to NVIDIA, who has nothing to really compete at that price point. The Radeon RX 470 is expected to be $149 for the 4GB version and $179 for the 8GB version.
The card is expected to feature 2048 stream processors, which are spread across 32 compute units. That is a step down from the 2304 stream processors on the RX 480. The memory will also be a bit slower at 7.0 GHz (GDDR5-effective), with a bandwidth of 224 GB/s. The card will only have a TDP of 110W! With these specifications the card should at least be faster than the Radeon R9 390X. That makes it a very attractive option for 1080p gamers!
