It has been reported that AMD is going to introduce a price cut to its Radeon R9 Fury graphics card in the next few days. AMD’s Radeon R9 Fury is the company’s second fastest graphics card behind the flagship Radeon R9 Fury X.
AMD’s Radeon R9 Fury as it stands now has a MSRP of $549, which is just $49 over its competition, which is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980. We’ve seen the R9 Fury be anywhere between 10-20% faster than NVIDIA’s GTX 980. While the price is already compelling if you are looking at getting a card in this range, AMD’s Raja Koduri is unhappy with the rate at which the company is gaining graphics share at the high end so a price cut is in order. It has not been announced yet, but KitGuru claims that it is a done deal and will take effect in just a few days.
