Good news for those who are planning to get their hands on the Kaveri APUs; the A10-7850K and A10-7700K which are coming soon. ShopBLT has revealed a few details about the pricing of these for the pre orders along with some other enlightening details.
For the year 2014, the flagship APU will be the new AMD A10-7850K and it is replacing the existing Richland A10-6800K APU. And compared to the 779 GFlops of this Richland A10-6800K APU, the new flagship APU is going to be equipped with 856 GFLops (GPU + CPU). With four Steamroller cores and 512 GCN stream processors, the AMD A10-7850K is coming on the same level as the Radeon HD 7750 with reference to the graphical performance. The APU maintains the base clock speed of 3.7 GHz and the clock speeds can hit beyond 4 GHz with the Turbo mode. Talking about the clock speed of the GPU, it falls at 720 MHz and the APU features an L2 cache of 4 MB. The GCN graphics die comes with 8 GPU cores which are representing a total of 512 stream processors. The price listed for this one has been $189.24 US.
Now moving on to the A10-7700K, which has been priced at $167.00, it is the unlocked chip and has been built around the Steamroller core architecture. This one maintains the base clock speeds at 3.5 GHz and with a maximum boost goes on to 3.8 GHz. Similar to the A10-7850K, this one features an L2 cache of 4 MB but this also teams up with HSA features and TrueAudio technology support.
