AMD’s upcoming low power APU “Kabini” lineup has been detailed in a leaked HP spec sheet. The series will launch with no less than five models and chips could be built in both the AM1 and BGA packages. The series will start with the dual core E1-2100 and E1-2150. These will feature clock speeds of 1.0 GHz and 1.05 GHz respectively, 1 MB of L2 cache and Radeon HD 8210 graphics. The CPUs are based on the “Jaguar” micro-architecture. The HD 8210 has 128 stream processors and is based on the Graphics CoreNext architecture.
Moving up there is the quad-core E2-3800 which is clocked at 1.3 GHz, has 2MB of L2 cache and Radeon HD 8280 graphics. The HD 8280 features the same 128 stream processors, but has higher clock speeds. Past the E-Series we have the more popular A-Series. In this series are the A4-5000, A4-5050 and A6-5200 which are built on the AM1 package and are not compatible with platforms that power the A-Series “Kaveri” chips.
The A4-5000 and A4-5050 have clock speeds of 1.5 GHz and 1.55 GHz respectively and have Radeon HD 8330 graphics with 128 stream processors, but a 500 MHz GPU clock. Finally the A6-5200 which is a quad-core part with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz and has Radeon HD 8400 graphics.
