Alienvibes EP02 Overview
As you can see from the photos below we received the red version of the EP02 headphones, but they are also available in black, white, blue, green, purple and pink. Alienvibes has gone with a high gloss finish on the headphones, which is very popular on many other headphones that are currently on the market. The headphones are actually a little smaller than what I expected, but overall a good size, just not as large as say some gaming headsets we have reviewed lately.
The headband has a very nice finish to it with the Alienvibes logo right in the center. The headband has padding on the inside so you should have able to wear the EP02’s for an extended period of time.
The ear cushions are what Alienvibes call “plush breathable” and seem to be very comfortable as well. Their design should also help out with noise cancellation. Of course powering these headphones are 40mm drivers.
On the bottom of the left earcup is where you will find your audio connection. The earcup also will hold on the two AAA batteries that power the headset. Simply press down on the outside of the earcup and slide to the left and the cover will pop off. Then you can install the batteries.
The opposite (right) earcup has a simple power button slider and mute button. The mute button is the center circle you see in the photo below. To mute you have to hold the button in, not just press it. So if you want to mute for more than a few seconds it might be a little annoying.
The headband is made of quality construction and metal, which normally we see plastic or ABS here. The headband is adjustable so it should fit pretty much anyone.
The headphones are foldable, which makes them easy to carry around with you. Of course though you are going to want to carry them in their included carrying case.
