Improved support for Intel “Sandy Bridge” processors
AIDA64 CPUID Panel, Cache & Memory Benchmark panel, System Stability Test, and all memory and processor benchmarks are now fully optimized for Intel Core i3/i5/i7 “Sandy Bridge” desktop and mobile processors, and Intel H67 and P67 “Cougar Point” motherboard chipsets. CPU AES data encryption benchmark utilizes AES-NI hardware acceleration on the new Intel processors, including the latest hexacore Intel Core i7-990X “Gulftown” CPU.
AVX-optimized 64-bit benchmarks and System Stability Test
FPU Julia, FPU Mandel and CPU Hash benchmarks utilize Intel Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) of Intel Core i3/i5/i7 “Sandy Bridge” processors. System Stability Test module has also been enhanced to put even more stress on the system using AVX optimizations. Note: To unlock AVX capabilities of the new Intel processors, Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is required.
64-bit multi-threaded VP8 video encoding benchmark
A new 64-bit multi-threaded HD video encoding benchmark, based on Google’s VP8 (WebM) video codec. The revamped 64-bit CPU ZLib data compression benchmark is also available to provide better support for both old and brand new hardware configurations. For legacy processors all benchmarks and the System Stability Test are available in 32-bit version as well.
