DashDrive Elite SE720 Overview
As I said earlier the DashDrive Elite SE720 is one really sexy looking external hard drive. The photos below really do not do it justice at all. The casing on the SE720 is made of 9H scratch resistant stainless steel. Not only does this look good, but provides for great protection of your drive.
On the top of the drive there is an ADATA logo and it lets us know this is the SE720 SSD drive. On the back of the drive there is a small sticker with the serial number and four small feet.
The drive itself is extremely thin! Only 8.9 mm thick! that is thinner than most cell phones! So you can easily put this drive in your pocket.
There is a single connection on the drive, which is a USB 3.0 micro B connection. We see these on many USB 3.0 external drives. This connection will power the drive as well as serve as the data connection. Beside this connection is one touch backup button. There is a small activity LED on the top of the drive towards the bottom.
The USB 3.0 cable that comes with the drive is not extremely large at all, it is more meant to be used with a laptop rather than a desktop PC. The included travel case has room for the drive only. I would have liked to have seen some room for the USB cable as well, because we know how easy they are to lose.
