A Quick Look at Steam for Android Beta

I got into the Steam for Android beta and thought I would share some screenshots with our readers! The interface is pretty slick. I’m a little annoyed that it feels more like an iPhone app than an Android app, but hopefully it’ll improve in future versions.

Upon sign-in, the user is presented with their friends list and can start a chat with anyone who is online. It doesn’t seem to use push for notifications, so its not likely something that you will want to keep running all the time. Unless you hate battery life, then be my guest!

You can see your groups and friends’ activity, too. If you look at a friend’s profile, you can see their screenshots and videos, as well as their wish list and games.

The store is as expected – a mobile version of the Steam client experience. I actually like it a little more than the desktop client, even!
