Kingwin is a company we have not heard much from in the past year. Recently they have released a new series of power supplies called the Lazer Gold Series. These power supplies are available in 550W, 700W, 850W and 1000W sizes and are 80PLUS Gold certified meaning they will run at least 87% efficient between 20% and 100% load and 90% efficient at 50% load. These power supplies also feature support for the latest processors and graphics cards, an active PFC, modular cables and a 140mm blue LED fan. It looks like summer is coming to an end as we get into September. I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by! The end of the summer for the hardware community means the busy season is about to start. Right around the middle of September many companies start releasing products for the holiday season. We are going to try our best to bring you all of those reviews! So August was a little slow month for us, mainly because I moved and was without internet for about a week. Last year we took a look at ASUS’s first external Blu-ray combo drive, the SBC-04D1S-U. It was the perfect external combo drive for a laptop or desktop and received a perfect 10 out of 10 score in our testing. ASUS has updated the SBC-04D1S-U with faster Blu-ray read speeds and a few other features. They are calling this new combo drive the SBC-06D1S-U.
