The first passive-cooled Radeon R7 200 series graphics cards have finally been revealed by the XFX and to spice things up, two new cards at the same time have been introduced with the full-height Radeon R7 250 Core Edition, and the half-height (low-profile) Radeon R7 240 Core Edition which can now be seen in pictures on many websites.
Nanoxia was a company I had not heard of up until recently. We were introduced to them at CES this year as they provided cases for Swiftech’s demo systems. The German company was founded in 2006 and has been making some great cooling fans and other smaller PC accessories. This past year they introduced their first case, the Deep Silence 1. These were what I saw at CES and I was rather impressed. Now I have one to review and I am excited to spend some real time with the case. The Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 is a mid tower that if you can guess by the name is made for silence. It has sound dampening material throughout, three of Nanoxia’s Deep Silence fans, room for up to 8 hard drives, dual fan controller and USB 3.0 support. Can this case compete against other silent cases out there? Let’s find out!
NZXT isn’t typically known for their silent gaming cases, but when they do come out with a new one, it’s certainly something to check out. Today, we will be looking at the NZXT H2 Silent Midtower Chassis which features not many sound dampening attributes, but also 25mm of cable management space behind the motherboard. Read on further to see what else this silent case has in store.
El Monte, CA – March 22, 2011 – NZXT, a company built on realizing the dreams of gamers worldwide, is proud to announce the H2, a silent midtower chassis that drastically reduces the chaotic noise produced by powerful gaming PCs. In designing H2, NZXT’s challenge was to engineer a decibel reduction solution while allowing components to remain cool through effective airflow. To achieve these feats, the H2 implements a layer of premium noise dampening foam that keeps internal noise from escaping the chassis. A magnetic fan cover on the top 140mm fan adds another element of silence, but can be removed if the user prefers to maximize cooling.
The NZXT Whisper Classic Series Full Steel Silent Tower is a very powerful case for a reasonable price. It offers a silent solution with support of up to nine hard drives and six 5.25″ drives. An entire interior of sound dampening foam and silent fans are what gives this case its silent design. While NZXT designs mostly gaming cases I believe that they have knocked on the server chassis door with this case. With Extended ATX support this case could be a cost effective server chassis for a small business. Read on further to see what else this case has to offer.
