We have seen quite a few Windows 8 tablets emerge since CES. These tablets gives users the full Windows 8 experience on a slate device that they can easily take with them. Microsoft’s own Surface Pro has a very expensive price tag of $899. For those not looking to shell out that much money for a Windows 8 tablet experience Lenovo has a few different options. Today we are taking a look at their IdeaTab Lynx, which at $499 is a much less expensive option. It features an Intel Atom Z2760 (1.8 GHz) processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory and a 64GB solid state drive under the hood. On the exterior you have an 11.6-inch 5-point touch IPS panel with a resolution of 1366 x 768. Most importantly this tablet runs the full version of Windows 8 making it a great solution for those looking to be productive on the road.
The last Mini PC we took a look at from Giada was their D2305, which was a real powerhouse. It could handle some of the latest video games and do some very CPU intensive tasks. Today we are checking out another Mini PC from Giada, but it is a lot different than the D2305. This mini PC is made to be used for basic web browsing, maybe some light gaming and just an all-around machine. The mini PC I am talking about is the Giada i35G and it features an Intel Atom D2500 processor, NVIDIA GT610 graphics, 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive and Bluetooth and WiFi. Did I mention this system is extremely small? Read on as we take a look!
I’ve had a home theater PC for the longest time. My first one was just a normal PC that I connected to my TV. From there it has evolved getting smaller and smaller. With the progression of technology it is very impressive what all we can fit in to a small form factor (SFF) PC. Today we will be checking out the smallest form factor PC that I have ever seen! It is smaller than the Zotac ZBOX HD-AD02, Western Digital Live TV Hub and pretty much every other SFF we have got our hands on. Being super small it is still capable of HD playback, has 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, 4 USB ports and WiFi. So what is this SFF PC we are talking about? It is the Sapphire Edge HD2, let’s take a look…
The HTPC is growing increasingly popular as people discover the endless possibilities of the multimedia side of the PC. Yeah, I know, we enthusiasts have realized this for a long time, but keep in mind that the average PC user still primarily uses his/her rig for email and surfing the net. Well, add loading music into their iPOD, hanging out with their Facebook friends, and watching YouTube videos to that list. Most still haven’t realized how versatile that intimidating box they know as simply “my computer” can be. Our friends at Asus have been working hard to create the ideal HTPC setup in their new AT3IONT-I Deluxe Mini-ITX board. Powered by a passively cooled Intel Atom 330 processor and nVidia ION chipset and sporting onboard WiFi among other features, their MiniMax Home Entertainment Center may just be what you need to build that home theater around. Read on to check out the Asus AT3IONT-I Deluxe!
