Buffalo unveiled this week its AirStation AC433 Travel Router, a tiny device offering big bandwidth. The AC433 is 1.75 inches square and is powered via USB. Its throughput is 433 Mbps on the 802.11ac 5 GHz band or 150 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz/5 GHz 802.11n band, selectable via a hardware switch.
Buffalo Technology counts as a global manufacturer of innovative storage solutions and multimedia and wireless products for the households as well as for use in offices. It has recently announced the latest series of external hard drives which have been tagged as the HD-LCU3 Series. Keeping in mind the growing data storage requirements of customers, the Buffalo has built hard drives which will provide storage capacities of up to 4 TB. These HD-LCU3 Series will comprise of two models; one in black and the other in white; the white models will have a storage capacity of up to 3 TB while the capacity will be extended to 4 TB for the black versions.
With increasing needs of the element of portability, different names have been taking on their share in the introduction of the portable storage devices in this market and Buffalo wasn’t the one to stay behind. It made an announcement this week about its newest addition to its already existing portfolio of storage devices which is purely targeted towards fulfilling the growing demands of portable storage devices. The Mini Station Turbo PC EX2 portable hard drive, as a recent addition by Buffalo, provides a huge storage space housed inside a simple yet elegant casing, the thickness of which will be determined by the storage size.
Buffalo Japan has just announced its newest portable, BDXL compatible Blu-ray Disc writer, the BRXL-PC6VU2-C. This will be available in a range of four glossy color options, i.e., white, red and black. This USB-powered drive is capable of 6x BD-R, 6x BD-R DL, 6x BD-R LTH, 2x BD-RE and 2x BD-RE DL writing speeds and a maximum BD-ROM read speed of 6x.
With the products they showed at Digital Experience, Buffalo is further diversifying its product lineup by delving deeper into the storage sector. They displayed a set of external SSDs connected via Thunderbolt, including a professional-level dual drive unit configured in RAID 0. They also showed a HDD with a DDR3 RAM cache for near SSD performance at a very affordable price. Buffalo also showed a series of Linkstation NASes that use a central relay system for Buffalo Link, a way to access files remotely from any computer or mobile device.
The night before CES actually starts, media company Pepcom holds an annual event called “Digital Experience.” This event showcases some of the newest technology coming to market, some of it announced at the event or shortly before it. I toured Digital Experience — this year with an Area 51 alien invasion theme — and present herein some of the great finds.
One of the best press events during CES is Digital Experience, which is put on by Pepcom. Pepcom really brings together a lot of companies for a great event. This year the theme for the event was “Safari” and they pulled it off quite well with great food, a safari atmosphere, and of course all of the latest gadgets.
