One of the easiest ways to speed up anyone’s system is to upgrade from a mechanical hard drive to a solid state drive. Over the past year solid state drive prices have gone down considerably and since it is the holiday season there are many great solid state drive deals going on. Some of the great solid state drives that we can recommend are the Samsung 840 Evo, Corsair Neutron XT, Zotac Premium, and Mushkin Reactor.
We recently reviewed Thermaltake’s Riing LED RGB fans and think they are the perfect thing to add to your case for some extra style and bling. On top of that they are specifically made for water cooling setups so if you looking to do a water cooling build or want to add some flare to your system these are the fans to use. They come with a controller that makes is very easy to switch and select the colors as well as change the speed. These come in single fan packs or packs of three.
Intel’s latest six generation Skylake processors cannot really be beat for performance as well as power consumption. A new Skylake processor is the perfect gift for someone looking to upgrade their current PC. This bring them up to date and get them on the Z170 chipset which features things like SATA Express, DDR4 support, USB 3.1, and 32 Gb/s M.2 slots. Leading the pack for Intel is their Core i7-6700K which is has a core clock of 4.0 GHz and boost up to 4.2 GHz, this is the fastest consumer quad-core processor ever made!
You are going to need to cool off that new processor and what better way to do it with Corsair’s H100i GTX. This all-in-one liquid CPU cooler is part of Corsair’s latest series of AiO coolers (GTX line). These new coolers improve on previous designs and really set the bar when it comes to AiO coolers. The H100i GTX is Corsair’s 240 mm offering, which will fit inside most cases and provide some impressive cooling.
NZXT’s latest Hue+ lighting system is the perfect thing to add a style to your case. The system comes with four LED strips (which can be connected together) and a controller box. The controller box can easily be mounted inside your system and it has two different channel outputs so you can control different LED strips independently. All of the control is done via NZXT’s CAM software which is very easy to use. This means you don’t have to open your case up to adjust anything. If you have a window in your case this will definitely add some life to your system.
