Back in January at CES Thermaltake showed us prototype units of new DIY water cooling parts and now at Computex 2014 they have announced the new Pacific Brand, which has quite a lot of different DIY products included. It is great to see a big brand like Thermaltake venture into the DIY space.
Microsoft released Windows 8.1 with Bing back in May, which they promised would be capable of brining much more affordable devices to the market that would challenge Android in a way that Windows has never done before. Well this week at Computex 2014 we are seeing that with the release of the first ever $100 Windows 8.1 tablet.
The mini-ITX form factor has really exploded over the past year and both motherboard manufacturers and case makers have really caught up. Building a mini-ITX system means that it is going to be small and that you are going to be able to easily take it with you to LAN parties. Because of this we have seen many mini-ITX gaming motherboards. With Intel’s release of the 9-Series chipset of course we expected to see new mini-ITX motherboards and today we are taking a look at our first. The MSI Z97I Gaming AC gives you the full power of the Z97 chipset, a single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot for your high-end graphics card, KillerNIC Gigabit Ethernet, Audio Boost 2 technology, 802.11ac WiFi, USB 3.0 and even four SATA 6GB/s ports. Did I mention that this board only measures 6.7-inches x 6.7-inches! Let’s take a look…
At Computex 2014 OCZ was showing off their next generation PCI-Express solid state drive, which is the RevoDrive 350. The drive has a PCI-Express 2.0 x8 bus interface and several SSD subunits which make up a RAID 0 array, which is bootable.
Zotac’s series of ZBOX mini PCs has been around for quite sometime and it seems like each year Zotac does something a little different with them. At Computex 2014 Zotac is launching a new range of ZBOX PCs called the C-Series which are all entirely passively called without any moving parts.
We have not heard much from Antec lately, but at Computex 2014 this week they were showing off a new high-end offering in their Performance One P380 case. The P380 has a very sleek and sophisticated design to it thanks to the large 6 mm thick piece of aluminum that makes up the top and front of the case.
Galaxy had a rather unique graphics card on display at their booth at Computex 2014. It is what they are calling their Fish GeForce GT 630 graphics card. The reason they are calling it the fish is that the heatsink is made to look like a fish.
Colorful was showing off many different graphics cards at Computex 2014 this week. One that definitely caught our attention was the GeForce GTX 780 Ti iGame Kudan. This graphics card takes hybrid cooling to the next level as it features a similar cooling system to what we saw on the ASUS GTX 780 Poseidon.
ADATA is displaying several next-generation solid state drives at Computex 2014 this week. These new drives are based off the SandForce 3700 Series controllers, which are set to launch in the second half of this year.
We know Galaxy for producing some of the best graphics card out there in their Hall of Fame graphics card series. Well it looks like they are taking the Hall of Fame series to the memory market. At Computex 2014 they showcased their brand new Hall of Fame DDR3 memory.
