The white Sapphire HD 7950 Mac Edition was spotted at CeBIT and now Sapphire is officially releasing the card. The card still is more or less a reference design with an 800MHz core clock and 3GB of GDDR5. As far as connections go you have 2x mini-DisplayPort, 1x HDMI and 1x dual-link DVI.
Today we are looking at a pair of 140mm fans, the Silent Wings 2 from a company that seems to be too good at their name: be quiet!. Yes that is be quiet, with an exclamation point, and if you are like me this is probably the first time you have ever heard of them. Looking at their website, they certainly have a fairly full product line. The problem seems to be that none of it is for sale outside of Germany. With claims of near silent operation, it’s time to find out if they can actually live up to their namesake.
Well March Madness is here and AMD, Sapphire, ADATA USA, AZiO and Fractal Design are all teaming up to give away a DIY PC rig valued at over $1300! This gaming rig is powered by an AMD FX-8350 8-core processor, Sapphire AM3+ 990FX motherboard, ADATA XPG 8GB DDR3, ADATA SX900 128GB SSD, HIS Radeon HD 7950 IceQ video card and Fractal Design Tesla R2 650W power supply. All of this will be inside the Fractal Design R4 case and AZiO will be adding their top gaming peripherals to the mix.
The upcoming flagship consumer processor based on Intel’s Haswell architecture will be the Core i7-4770K. It looks like Tom’s Hardware has one one hand and has already run it through quite a few different benchmarks and tests. They are comparing it directly to the Core i7-3770K “Ivy Bridge” processor and the Core i7-2700K “Sandy Bridge” processor. Read on to see some of the benchmarks.
To all of the Battlefield 3 gamers out there and fans of the franchise it looks like we are getting closer to a Battlefield 4 release. Electronic Arts has sent out press invitations for a Battlefield 4 press event scheduled for March 26, 2013. The invitation says the event will “celebrate a new era of Battlefield”. This event will take place during the 2013 Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco.
Today Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad T431s Ultrabook. This is the thinnest T series ever and has design elements which were inspired by the results of an extensive global research project. The ThinkPad T431s features an innovative trackpad, enhanced keyboard and refined aesthetics.

Here are some of the first photos of the Sapphire HD 7790 Dual-X. This is Sapphire’s premium offering based on AMD’s new GPU. This dual slot card features Sapphire’s in-house PCB and cooler designs. As you can see from the photos the PCB and shroud are both black. The cooler is made up of an aluminum fin stack design, which is ventilated by a pair of 80mm fans. The card is powered by a single 6pin PCIe connector and outputs include a pair of DVI ports, HDMI and DisplayPort.
