This week on our Gaming Friday segment we are back to a first-person shooter! A lot of people may not believe me, but this is my first time playing a Tribes game. Tribes Ascend is a upcoming free-to-play multiplayer-only first-person shooter. I’m sure many of you are familiar with the Tribes franchise. The Beta for the game is currently out and available for everyone to download. I have been playing it for the past week and I am really enjoying it. Samsung is not really a name many people consider when it comes to solid state drives, but maybe people should. Today we are unboxing their 830 Series solid state drive that is built on all Samsung Parts. It is running Samsung’s own 3-core ARM-based processor, Samsung’s own cache chip and of course Samsung’s own flash memory. Because Samsung is using their own parts they not only have full control over the operation of the drive, but they also can keep costs down because they control the demand of their own parts. When you find a keyboard you like you never want to change, my keyboard is the one component of my main system that has not changed since 2007! Logitech released the diNovo Edge keyboard back in 2007 and even since it has been my main keyboard. Surprisingly enough logitech still makes it and it sells for just about the same price. I think after 5 years it is time to move on to a new keyboard and I think the K800 wireless keyboard may just be the right keyboard. It has some of the same features of the diNovo Edge as well as some new ones. Read on and see if the K800 can make me let go of my 5 year old diNovo Edge.

It has been quite a while since we have done an unboxing video of a video card! Well our friends at Sapphire have sent us their new Radeon HD 7850 Overclocked Edition 2GB Video Card! Just as the name says this video card is overclocked having a core clock of 920MHz over the stock 860MHz. The memory is overclocked too moving up to 1250MHz from the stock 1200MHz on reference cards. With Intel’s X79 chipset we started to see quad channel DDR3 memory. It is crazy to think that in just a short period of time we have gone from dual channel to quad channel memory. Not long after Intel released the X79 platform we started to see quad channel kits designed and certified specifically for the platform. Today we are taking a look at one such kit, the G.Skill RipjawsZ DDR3-2133 16GB quad channel kit (F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH).
