I’m sure most of you know ECS mainly for motherboards, but they had some other stuff to show us this year at CES. To start off they showed us their G11 All-In-One DIY barebones system. The system is based on a platform developed by Intel in conjunction with ECS. The other interesting product was the Wi-Bridge which allows you to stream media content to any display using WiFi. We didn’t leave out the motherboards ECS was showing either, read on to check it all out!
This year at CES CyberPower PC had a really awesome system to show us, the Fang III Black Mamba. This system not only boasts an Intel Core i7-3960X CPU and X79 Chipset with quad channel memory it includes Advance Hydro Liquid Cooling Kit with an all new 480mm radiator. The coolest thing about this system is that it is actually 2 systems in one. So you have a full ATX system on the bottom and a Mini-ITX system up that runs Windows Home Server. While at CES this year we had the oppurtunity to talk to Bill Owen who is widely known around the PC modding community and owns MNPCTECH. Fractal Design invited him to their booth to show off his Arc Midi Battlefield 3 mod. It was great being able to talk to Bill about the case and about MNPCTECH. Read on to check out the interview.
NZXT had 2 really awesome cases to show us at CES this year. Over the past year OCZ has really made a huge push into the solid state drive space with their purchase of Idilinx, makers of flash controller silicon and software for solid state drives. A company that sparked my interest was a new app called Shodogg. Basically this app will allow you to deliver any wireless streaming content to any web-enabled screen for free at very high speeds. This app releases in March on iPhone and Android platforms and soon after on Blackberry and Windows Mobile. Read on to check out the app in action and an interview with Seth Green who is an investor and adviser to the company.
At CES 2012, In Win is showing off some things you might have already seen, and others you’ve never seen. Ray with In Win showed us their power supplies, a revised Dragon Rider chassis, along with a couple concept designs and the super limited edition XFRAME. Each chassis is sleek while being super accessible. For example, on the XFRAME, In Win has included a lockable panel that holds all of the screws, and motherboard standoffs. Also, the XFRAME is truly a limited edition. Each XFRAME will be individually numbered, and it’s rumored that the numbers may not go past triple digits.
Otherworld Computing, known more succinctly as simply OWC, showed one of the coolest things we’ve seen at CES: a smart electrical outlet with USB ports. It’s not the first electrical outlet with USB ports, but it’s by far the best designed. It features spring-loaded covers that kill the power when closed to prevent wasted juice and is the first UL-listed device of its kind, a necessary requirement for insurance-conscious homeowners. OWC also showed us its new lightning fast solid state drives (SSDs) and its expandible storage device primary meant for Mac Mini. ThinkComputers’ Colin Dean speaks with OWC’s Grant Dahlke in this video interview.
CES is all about computers and gadgets for the most part. What better way to get people to come over to your booth to check out these products than having pretty girls showing off the product, especially if it is a boring product. One thing we know you, our readers always look forward to during our CES coverage is the booth babes! So we searched through all of the car audio, computer hardware, and other electronics to find you the booth babes! So without further ado I present you our CES 2012 Booth Babe Gallery!
